The new Electrical Equipment Safety System (EESS) scheme incorporating the RCM marking will be delayed until at least March 1, 2013.

There will be a three-year transition period for current suppliers—those registered on the ACMA supplier database prior to the commencement date of 1 March 2013. These suppliers will have three years to register on the new database and start using the RCM.

Timetable for implementation
From 1 March 2013, the new arrangements will only apply to new suppliers—those not registered on the ACMA supplier database.
From 1 March 2016, the arrangements will apply to all suppliers

ACMA is now forced to delay the implementation of consolidation of the existing ACMA regulatory compliance labels into a single consolidated mark, the RCM.

The ACMA has not yet made an announcement as to when the RCM may be used in lieu of the C-Tick and A-Tick, however it is likely to coincide with the revised EESS implementation date.
