Hong Kong update
Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has released version 4.0 of Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) and Short Range Devices (SRD) Regulation which immediately in force.
Changes have been made to the output power limits and frequency allowances for certain bands. Please double checking if your related devices meet the newest Regulation.
The Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) has released the 2021 Table of Frequency Allocations.
Part of the main updates as below:
Ø 5470-5725MHz: stations in the mobile service shall not claim protection from radio determination services.
Ø 24-24.25GHz: designated for ISM applications. Radio communications services operating within this band must accept harmful interference which may be caused by these applications.
Ø 24.25-27.5GHz/ 37-43.5GHz/ 66-71GHz: to be used to implement the terrestrial component of IMT.
The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) of Egypt has published an updated Short-Range Devices Guidelines in December 2020 and effective immediately.
l Only wireless devices with built-in antennas are allowed (separated antennas are not permitted)
l Indoor use only, communication distance do not exceed 50 meters.
