|Vietnam||According to Circular 06/2021/TT/BTTTT, the technical regulation (QCVN 127:2021/BTTTT) for 5G Stand-Alone User Equipment would take effect from March 01, 2022 and enforced from July 01, 2022.|
This regulation is said to be composed based on 3GPP TS 38.508-1; 3GPP TS 38.133; 3GPP TS 38.121 and shall not totally equivalent to any CE standards.
Must be able to operate in n1, n3, n28, n41, n77, n78 bands.
QCVN 129:2021/BTTTT for Non-Standalone 5G User Equipment, only n40 and n41 bands are listed. This is a draft regulation, planned to take effective from Feb. 01, 2022, enforced from July 01, 2022. (Not official yet)
Circular 09/2021/TT/BTTT about vehicle radar (76-77 GHz) needs to comply with QCVN 124:2021/BTTTT, which would take effect from July 01, 2022.
Circular 10/2021/TT/BTTT about SRD (40-246 GHz) needs to comply with QCVN 123:2021/BTTTT, would take effect from July 01, 2022.
Circular 11/2021/TT/BTTTT about radio access equipment operating in 5GHz, which need to comply QCVN 65:2021/BTTTT from May 01, 2022, enforcement from July 01, 2023.
|Mexico||IFETEL will be closed from December 23rd, 2021 to January 5th, 2022. The lead time would be affected due to the closure.|
|Brazil||The Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (ANATEL) published Act 9435 which updates the technical requirements for conformity assessment for Base Station Radio (BSR) (Act 3153), including the GNR FR2 bands (n257, n258, n260, n261). There is no Brazilian laboratories are capable of carrying out these tests, it is possible to accept foreign reports as long as they meet ANATEL requirements and the ETSI TS 138 141-2 V16.6.0 (2021-01) standard.|
Due to the impact of COVID-19, ANATEL also released official letter nº 233/2021 to extend the streamlined renewal process once more and now all certificates with expiration date between March 6th, 2020 and July 31st, 2022 are exempt of doing renewal testing and providing new external/ internal photos as long as the device had no modification.
Act 10002 updates the Act 3151 related to the technical requirements for Access Terminal Station (devices with WWAN function). Act 10003 updates the Act 3152 related to the technical requirements for Mobile Phone, main changes as below:
1. Inclusion of technical requirements for 5G NR Frequency Ranges 2 (FR2)- Standalone & Non-Standalone inter-band & intra-band non contiguous
2. Inclusion of technical requirements for NB-IoT NB2
3. Update the reference standards:
Due to the standards updated above, there are new combinations for 4G and 5G dual connectivity (EN-DC combinations). ANATEL defines grace period for 6 months (from Nov. 29th) for all manufacturer to present the testing report for the new EN-DC combinations from devices approved before this act.
|Algeria||The Autorité de Régulation de la Poste et des Communications Électroniques (ARPCE) of Algeria has updated the type approval procedure (decision n° 52/SP/PC/ARPCE/2021) for Terminal Equipment and Radio Installations.|
The serial numbers and IMEI of the terminal equipment should be informed to Authority within one month after the equipment has been placed on the market.
|Turks and Caicos||The Telecommunications Commission of Turks and Caicos (TCITC) has released the update National Frequency Allocations Table from 8.3 KHz to 275 GHz.|
|Ukraine||The Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture in Ukraine had issued updated requirements for RoHS, which has been enforced on November 18th, 2021.|
EN IEC 63000:2018 has been replaced EN 50581:2012.
|India||The Department of Telecommunications under Ministry of Communications in India has updated the labelling requirement of MTCTE Phase III and IV products.|
