According to guidance, transition period for placing CE+ UKCA marking only can be valid till Dec. 31, 2022. From Jan. 1, 2023, only UKCA marking should be labelled for device marketing in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland).

There are some amended rules updated on June 20, 2022 as below:

1. The CE mark conformity assessment document completed by the manufacturer before December 31, 2022 can be directly used as the basis for the UKCA mark without re-testing. (For the lifetime of EU-Type Examination Certificate issued, or until 31 December 2027, whichever is earlier.)
2. For device already existing stock in Great Britain, no need to retest or remove CE marking.
3. Continuing to accept same conformity assessment requirements that were in place at the time the original product or system of the spares for repairing, replacement and maintenance operations.
4. Allowing to affix the UKCA marking on the product or in a document accompanying until 31 December 2025.
5. Allowing the UKCA importer information for goods from EEA countries, to be placed on the product or in a document accompanying until 31 December 2025.
